As noted from the district communication, students have a choice to accept their grades as of March 13, 2020 as final grades for the 2019-2020 school year OR Continue to earn grades for the remainder of the 2019-2020 school year to improve their grade(s). We want to clarify that if a student chooses not to participate, perform or actively engage with his/her teacher(s) and they do not take advantage of assignment opportunities, this will result in their final grade being the grade that they had on March 13th. The only way for the March 13th grade to improve is for the student to submit assignments and participate in the digital learning opportunities made available to him/her by the teacher. See below for what the Spanish 3 team of teachers has decided for moving forward (in blue): 1. I am still grading your childhood storybook project. I am about halfway through grading them due to all the craziness of the past couple of weeks but will have them completed and in Synergy before Spring Break week is over. The project grade will be posted in Synergy only if it improves your overall grade. 2. We will put in formative grades for the work you have completed from the previous three weeks of digital learning. You will not receive a grade in Synergy if these assignments lower your over-all average. 3. Moving forward, you may either accept your grade in Synergy as of March 13, 2020 as your final grade in Sp. 3 OR Continue working to improve your grade and strengthening your knowledge base. What will it look like if I continue with the course?
